Lake Michigan Couples Photosession — Shamus & Brooke

As a Michigan wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of photographing some of the most beautiful couples in some of the most stunning locations. And let me tell you, Shamus and Brooke's sunset photoshoot on Lake Michigan Beach at Saugatuck Dunes State Park was nothing short of magical!

Lake Michigan is truly one of the most spectacular photoshoot locations in Michigan. Its crystal-clear waters and picturesque sand dunes make it a favorite among couples looking to capture breathtaking photos. And let me tell you, Shamus and Brooke did not disappoint! They had so willingly volunteered to be photographed for one of my 2022 mentor sessions, and they were the perfect couple to photograph against this stunning backdrop.

From the moment I met them, I knew that we were going to create something truly special. Shamus and Brooke were so in love, and their energy was infectious. They were playful and affectionate, and they made my job as their photographer and my mentee’s mentor an absolute dream.

As we made our way through the park, we tried out different poses and locations. I was constantly blown away by the chemistry between these two, and it was so easy to capture their love on camera. We laughed, we joked, and we created some of the most beautiful images I have ever taken.

But it wasn't just the couple's chemistry that made this shoot so memorable. The location itself was absolutely stunning. Saugatuck Dunes State Park is a hidden gem on the western shore of Michigan, and its sprawling sand dunes and clear blue waters made for the perfect backdrop for Shamus and Brooke's photos.

As we neared the end of the shoot, the sun began to set, casting a warm, golden light over everything in its path. The sky turned a riot of pink, orange, and purple, and I knew we were capturing something truly magical. These photos were going to be treasured for years to come.
