West Michigan Vintage Boho Wedding — Felt Estate Mansion

The picture-perfect summer wedding doesn’t exi–

JUST KIDDING. YES IT DOES, and Hope and Chase pulled it off!

No but really, that’s how I felt when I showed up to photograph Chase and Hope’s gorgeous, vintage, boho-inspired wedding day at The Felt Estate in Saugatuck Michigan.

And if you know me, you know that The Felt Mansion is one of my absolute favorite wedding venues in west Michigan, known for it’s stunning, multi-roomed, vintage interior, and it’s European architecture, and it’s breathtaking outdoor grounds that sit right next to the wide open landscapes and trails of Saugatuck Dunes State Park–one of the most beautiful beaches and trails on Lake Michigan!

The estate also has incredible multi-faceted options for those getting married here, with its stunning little white chapel ceremony space, and its luxury stone pool ceremony space which Hope and Chase opted to have for their wedding.

Seriously, they couldn’t have picked a better venue for their wedding day vision.

Not only was the weather itself spectacularly golden and sunny, but the grounds and the interior of the Felt Estate created a stunning backdrop that was drenched in that golden sunlight all day long. And if you’re a west Michigan wedding photographer like myself, you know that beautiful weather is NOT always a guarantee, but when it shows up (September weddings–like theirs–are always a pretty safe bet), it is SO incredibly appreciated.

Can we also just take a moment to gawk at Hope’s classic and flowy dress? Her dress was from one of my favorite bridal shops located in Downtown Holland, Michigan called Spring Sweet, and Hope was honestly born to fit into that dress!

I felt like I was watching a freaking fairytale the whole time–it was all too much.

I don’t know why, but I feel like a Jane Austen book was coming to life during their wedding day.

All in all, I could not have been more honored to photograph this wedding for Hope and Chase, and their family and friends (lemme tell you a secreat: I’ve photographed the weddings of multiple people in Hope and Chase’s wedding party, so this bridal party crew was pretty freaking fun for me to hang out with all day), and everyone involved.

Let’s relive all of this day again in all its glory, shall we?
